FIRST DAY:

CITY TOUR LIMA

In the Lima’s historical center, we’ll visit the walk of republic, where we’ll appreciate more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings such as: San Martín Square, Main Square with its distinctive buildings: Government Palace, Basilic Cathedral; Major Square, the archiepiscopal and municipal palaces, the station of the destitute and balconies of Moorish style, municipality of Lima, the temple of Sant Francisco that constitutes the largest sample of colonial religious art in America. We’ll be visiting the underground crypts known as "catacombs".

 

After that we’ll visit the most traditional residential areas of Lima: San Isidro, El Olivar , and Larcomar, including the Love park where we’ll enjoy of an spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean

SECOND DAY:

FLIGHT FROM LIMA TO AREQUIPA / HOTEL / CITY TOUR

We’ll go from the hotel to the Jorge Chávez airport to take our flight to Arequipa, the white city named like this because of its construction in sillar, which is the solid volcanic tuff, also declared a World Heritage Site in 2000 by UNESCO. The second most important city in Peru, not because of the number of inhabitants, but because of its economic importance and its contribution to the national economy.

THIRD DAY:

CITY TOUR YANAHUARA /CARMEN ALTO/ SANTA CATALINA’ MONASTERY

At 14:00 hours we’ll begin the tour visiting the Yanahuara Square, the viewpoint of the same name, from where we’ll have a beautiful view of the volcanoes surrounding the city of Arequipa such as: Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu. After that, we’ll go towards the Carmen Alto viewpoint to see the Chilina Valley , also we can taste the local fruits like th arequipean papaya and others.

 

We´ll return to the Santa Catalina’s Monastery, place where the tourists will have free time for a lapse o fan hour and a half, after that, they are going to be taken to their respective hotel.

FOURTH DAY:

AREQUIPA/ CHIVAY/COLCA

After having picked the tourists up from the hotel we’ll go towards the northeast of the city of Arequipa where we’ll leave the city passing by the Yura’s factory, then we’ll take the transoceanic highway until we reach the viewpoint of Quiscos in Uyupampa, where we will make a brief stop to see the valley of Uyupampa, where the arequipean onion and garlic come from.

 

Continuing with the journey we´ll arrive to the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we eill be able to see the flora and fauna of the place and at the same time take photos of the vicuñas, place where we will reach 4000 m.a.l.s. There we can taste the coca´s mate at Patahuasi where we will see the different rock formations made by strong winds, rains and erosion.

 

Continuing with our journey we will arrive to the wetlands of Toccra to see the South American camelids such as llamas and alpacas, then we’ll reach the highest point of our journey: the Patapampa volcano viewpoint 4910 m.a.l.s. Then we’ll descend to the town of Chivay for our first lunch.

FIFTH DAY:

CRUZ DEL CONDOR/ CHIVAY / PUNO

We go out from the Chivay town towards the Cruz del Condor, we´ll pass by the town of Yanque, there we´ll see the church considered one of the most beautiful in the Colca Valley, at the same time we can take photos with different alpacas, llamas and see the Wititi dance live.

Continuing with the tour we pass by the Achoma viewpoint, place where we´ll see the Valley terracing, after that we´ll pass by the town of Maca, we´ll go the Choquetico viewpoint, from where we´ll be able to see the hanging tombs and the litomaqueta carved in Stone. Next we’ll visit the Antahuillque and Wayrapunku viewpoints, where we’ll make stops after seen the flight of the condor. In the Cruz del Condor we’ll have a prudential time of one hour to see the flight of the condor and the depth of the Colca canyon.

After seen the flight of the condor, we’ll make a walk of approximately 45 minutes around the canyon, finishing in the Cruz del condor viewpoint, we’ll return with direction to Chivay, during this will make several stops in different viewpoints.

We’ll return to Chivay for lunch

Our tranfer to the Puno city will take us a prudential time of 5 hours, on the road we’ll make two stops, one to see the birds like flamingos and the other to use the hygienical services. We’ll be arriving to Puno after that.

SIXTH DAY:

UROS ISLAND / TAQUILE ISLAND/PUNO

After the breakfast in the hotel we’ll transfer to the port of Titicaca Lake from there we’ll go to the floating islands of the Uros, built of totora, it’s an aquatic plant that grows on the surface of the Titicaca Lake. The islands stand on a part of the surface of Titicaca Lake

After this visit we’ll go to the Taquile’s islands (Intika in Quechua) this islands belongs to the district of Amantaníes an island where its customs and traditions are preserved. The settlers of the place, known as Taquileños, still wear traditional customes and are known for their great artisan quality,in this place we’ll have our lunch.

We’ll return to Puno and go the hotel.

SEVENTH DAY:

PUNO/ PUKARA/LA RAYA/ SICUANI RAQCHI/ANDAHUAYLILLAS/CUSCO

After the breakfast in the hotel we’ll transfer to the city of Cusco doing our first stop in Pukara, place where we could see vessels of various shapes, and the most characteristic, a wide-mouthed glass, the pukara’s toritos, These ceramics were decorated with Felines motives. That’s why it is thought that Pukara was influenced by Chavín,

Currently, the pukaras are characterized for being excellent ceramics elaborators continuing we’ll arrive at La Raya, that is located in the knot that separates the Andes of the south with the Andes of the center and gives rise to the important knot or valley of the Vilcanota, immediately we’ll pass by Sicuani there we’ll have lunch, we’ll continue until we reach Andahuaylillas In Peru, the Church of Sant Pedro Apostle of Andahuaylillas has been named "the Sistine Chapel of America", and in some sense, this name would justify the architecture, because is one of the most amazing and beautiful religious art after. After this visit we’ll go directly to Cusco we’ll arrive at the hotel.

EIGHTH DAY:

CUSCO CITY TOUR

Free morning to rest or do some activities that are not included in the tour

At 14:00 hours. City tour. The places that are going to be visited are: Main temple of the Sun, also known as the “Qoricancha”, “Sacsayhuamán”known as the head of the puma in reference of the City of Cusco, that has the shape of a puma in the Inca age, and the head of this puma was Sacsayhuaman.

After that we’ll visit Qenqo, temple in honor of the mother earth or Pachamama, we continue visiting Pucapucara or control center entrance to the Sacred City of Cusco, then we’ll go to Tambomachay resting place for the Inca and at the same time temple to Water. After visiting all this places we return to the hotel

NINTH DAY:

SACRED VALLEY /PISAC/OLLANTAYTAMBO

After the breakfast in the hotel we’ll go to the Sacred Valley, we’ll begin in Corao, to travel later for the Vilcanota river, for a panorámica view of the inca citadel of Pisac, which is a touristic attraction for the archeological inca place. Also we’ll visit the typical Pisac Market, where we’ll have the chance to know closely some of the typical producto of the area and the traditions of its settlers. Next we’ll go to Urubamba, place where we’ll have our lunch in a restaurant. After that, we’ll visit the fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo, its cobbled and meandering streets, the ruins scattered everywhere and its agricultural terraces are attractions that stand out for themselves and the tourist can appreciate it in all its splendor. Between the ruins, it’s recommendable to visit the old fortress and the temple, where we can enjoy of magnificent views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After this visit we’ll stay in a hotel in the sacred valley.

TENTH DAY:

MACHU PICCHU/OLLLANTAYTAMBO /CUSCO.

We lave the hotel towards the train station of Ollantaytambo to take a train that takes us to hot waters or also called Machu Picchu, from there we’ll take a bus that will transport us to the seventh wonder of the world: the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, which is the sacred city of the Incas; built during the fifteenth century by the Inca Pachacutec, it’s currently one of the most important destinations in the world. After having been amazed, we’ll return by train to Ollantaytambo and then by bus to Cusco.

FLIGHT FROM CUSCO TO LIMA
