We leave the city of Arequipa at 8:00 hours with direction to Majes.

Our first stop will be in the Toromuerto petroglyphs

Located in an arid landscape, Toromuerto is considered one of the largest examples of rock art in the world. About five thousand rocks known as volcanic tuffs are recorded that have zoomorphic, anthropomorphic and geometric figures, possibly in this place we’ll be approximately one hour. We´ll continue our tour visiting Jurassic park of Querullpa with its amazing tracks of prehistoric animals (dinosaurs). 150 to 200 million years ago, that inhabited the territory when that mountainous spot was a quiet beach. It’s said that the valley of Majes was an immense lagoon and the surrounding hills, like Querullpa, were its shores.

Lunch

We’ll continue visiting craft wineries. Where we can appreciate the process of creation of wine and pisco. We ‘ll go to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2

Breakfast at 06:00 in the morning

We leave towards the Majes River to go rafting (canoeing) with local operators. In this circuit canoeing or rafting, we have three areas for the practice of canoeing, having different levels of difficulty (fasts).
